SWAZILAND MERCY CENTER PROJECT
The tiny South African country of Swaziland has the world's highest known rate of HIV/AIDS. Nearly 40% of the country's adults are living with HIV/AIDS. And an estimated 16,000 children under the age of 15 are themselves infected with HIV. But the children of Swaziland have a big place in God's heart. As Psalm 22:24 says, He has listened to their cry for help and provided a unique opportunity through Mission of Mercy for caring Christians to reach out to these precious children, who truly are the "least of these". The Swaziland Mercy Center serves orphans from preschool through age 18. At the center, children are provided a program of Bible-based child development designed to help them defeat poverty, rise above despair, and reach their full potential in Christ.
