Who is Indieheaven and what is your mission?

Keith Mohr is the founder and pres of Indieheaven. Keith is a long time Christian music veteran, having toured with the nationally known group "Harvest" in the early 1990's. Keith founded "Broken Records" in 1997, providing community and distribution services to Christian indie artists.

After working with well over 1000 artists, and taking what he has learned on Broken Records, the Indieheaven site provides all indie Christian artists and musicians, regardless of skill levels, a vehicle to fulfill their vision and mission.

We enable, mentor, motivate, and educate artists and encourage them to be the very best they can be in their music and ministries. We provide artists with an "alternative" to the established contemporary Christian music industry, and educate artists to pursue excellence in their artistry and ministry.

What does your slogan mean?

The recording industry is undergoing a dramatic shift away from record labels to more of an independent model, where artists control their intellectual property (songs) and their recordings. However, independent artists have not changed, they still perform live, and sell their music. In that sense, there is still an industry, but corporations no longer control the content and the artists. What is an Independent Christian Artist?

An Independent Christian Artist is one who has dedicated their talents to further the kingdom of heaven by producing and investing in their own musical recordings and ministries. The artists are not signed to a recording contract, and have the ability to allow God to direct their paths as He sees fit in His timing and opportunity. Artists pay for their own recordings, seek their own avenues of distribution, and perform many times for smaller venues and ministriy opps like prisions and other outreaches. In many regards, these artists are on the front lines of ministry.

How do I Find Artists on Indieheaven?

You can start with our Featured Artists who are listed on our front page. Of course you can always use our search feature to find any artist on Indieheaven. You can search by artist name or you can even filter down to state and/or genre.

How Do I Listen to Music?

To hear music from a specific artist, go to their profile page and click on the song title listed in the music tab. To hear a great varity of music you can also go to our Top 20 Radio page or listen to the fan favorites on the Fan Faves page.

How Do I Order Music?

It's easy! You can find all artists who have a CD for sale in our STORE section, which is located in our menu bar, or peruse our artists pages. Some artists will have CDs and single song downloads for purchase, and some will not. If they have a CD(s) available to purchase, you will see the BUY CD button below the album cover. If they have a song(s) for sale, you will see the BUY SONG button in the music player.

Once you click on the BUY button, your shopping cart will be displayed. You can either proceed to checkout, or you can click on continue shopping and peruse our site adding more items to your cart. When you are ready to checkout, click on the view cart section located in our menu bar. Once in your cart, follow the steps to enter your info. We use PAYPAL to handle ALL music sales. PAYPAL takes ALL types of credit cards plus checks. You DO NOT Need a PAYPAL account to use PAYPAL. So, go ahead and order all the music you want!

What is your privacy and security policy?

To safeguard your credit card information, Indieheaven utilizes a Secure Server. The Secure Server encrypts this information so that it cannot be read in transit by a third party, making your credit card number safer than when you use it for purchasing at a restaurant or store. In the thousands of credit card orders that we have received, there has not been one complaint from anyone of the misuse of their credit card.

Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (like their name and email address).
