Did you know that The Kate White Band, INDIEHEAVEN ARTIST, over this past year, Kate White has had the incredible opportunity to be the worship director for 2012′s Mission ConneXion Conference held last weekend, January 20-21 at Crossroads Community Church in Vancouver, WA. The task was to put a skilled team of international worshippers together that could comprise our worship team and lead out in worship with different languages…Each member of the team either spoke two languages or grew up in a two language environment. They sang not only English worship songs but also worshipped in Arabic, Indonesian, Portugese, Italian, Native American and Indian. How cool is that? Taking the language of “worship” and utilizing the talents of God’s children to worship Him. Did you know that David Michael Carrillo, INDIEHEAVEN ARTIST, is an ordained minister & worship leader who has been a full time “Musicianary” since 1990 . Growing up, he faced the challenges of having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder,(ADHD), learning disabilities, and being rejected by his peers. In his new book called “Fearfully & Wonderfully Made”(My Christian Journey with ADHD), David Michael shares about the healing power of the Gospel that delivered him from the fear of people and self doubt that developed as a teenager and young adult. He has a heart & love for the country of Latvia & the Eastern European countries and works closely with East European Mission network outreaches.

This is David’s second year teaching in Latvia. Wow, this artist has a passion that is multi-faceted. His personal story is rock-solid proof of how God uses those of us they have had personal struggles in our life and how we can turn them into helping others who don’t believe they can get through their own struggles. ABOUT 2011 INDIESONG OF THE YEAR
The 2011 INDIESONG OF THE YEAR contest was open to members of Indieheaven only, who submitted their songs to Indieheaven’s popular FANFAVES CHART during the months of September, October and November 2011. Fans listened to and rated their favorite songs, and the TOP 10 rated songs from each month made the Semi-Final round, which started December 1, 2011. Those 30 songs were listened to and rated by fans for the month of December 2011, and the TOP 10 rated songs made the Final Round.

The TOP 10 rated songs were then reviewed by a panel of judges and a grand prize winner selected and announced on February 1, 2012.

We have heard from quite a few independent artists of a booking scam going in where a church in England contacts the artist from out of the blue, extending an invitation to perform at their event. The catch is… the artist must have a work visa, and they can only get that from the church representative. Once the artist gives their account info to the rep, the rep cleans them out. Our advice… always check with others before falling for something that is too good to be true.. or contact us at Indieheaven and we’ll let you know if it’s legit or not.

Did you know that BONE PROPHET, Indieheaven Artist, armed with the vision written in Ezekiel 37, The Valley of Dry Bones, brings music that reaches far into this generation. Every music scene has that one group that defines a new movement to surpass a listener’s expectations, and these guys truly succeed in doing that for today’s Christian Rock. Bone Prophet is a hard-hitting and edgy group with yet a very positive twist on lyrics and attitude. The band derives from Knoxville, TN but in a few short years has watched their efforts reach international status. We had the pleasure of attending the World Vision premiere showing of “Journey To Jamaa” this evening in Nashville. It is a story of 2 children from Africa whose mother died from aids and how their journey brought them to the Lord, and more! The music was provided by the band 1211, they were awesome!

What an awesome rendering of God putting two of his children together and merging their gifts for His Glory. In Cameron’s own words, “Currently, Jim and I will spend many hours together writing, talking, praying, and working on new melodies and ideas of what we hear from our Father’s heart. We admit we cannot do this without Him. We love writing together! We have decided we’re hooked and there is no turning back to what life looked like before we started down this path. Did you know, Anita Ferrer, INDIEHEAVEN Artist, is penning a book entitled, “Arise From Your Graves”. This multi-talented, singer/songwriter/ entrepreneur has battled with vast debilitating, both physically and mentally, dis-ease throughout her young life. Her world had circled around child abuse, eating disorders, self-esteem issues, domestic violence and divorce. With a survivor mentality, Anita continued on. Her story is one that reveres our Lord and Savior. She is an encourager with grand results. Her words uplift all that find themselves in her path. As you will experience from her written prose, Anita’s world now revolves around forgiveness, healing and freedom. A powerful medley, brought into existence by a muse that always believed in the promises of her heavenly Father.
