I am 18 years old and lead worship for the jr. high, occasionally for the youth, and monthly at the Birmingham Prayer Furnace. I was online looking up lyrics for a song I am leading tomorrow and just happened to run across someone's blog. The funny part was that on her blog was the verse I am supposed to quote for the leaders who are in authority above me along with the topic of serving and humbling yourself to please Him even when you don't feel Him..which is exactly what our Jr. High pastor had said wednesday night. God set me up. You happened to be to the right of the blog in a list of inspirational and uplifting worship. I clicked and was hit with the all-powerful and anointed presence of God. I believe we share the same heart as worship leaders...My eyes have been opened to how GREAT of an honor it is to usher in and teach how to access the presence of God! I can't begin to express the love that comes just in humming a few notes.. that is when they are out of a humble and all-sacrificing heart. Which I believe you can relate! SO thank you for being obedient to the call of God and for being humble and cautious with HIS anointing and power.
