2014 Spring U.S. Mission Tour
! My family & I have had the opportunity to minister in our local food bank here in DeRidder a number of times. We have been able to sort & shelve food items; distribute food; and sing while providing hot chocolate & cookies for folks as they received their packages. Also, I was privileged to lead worship & bring Bible devotions for the volunteer staff who work day in & day out. Seeing the effect that our ministering here locally had, not only on these folks but on our family personally, we long to do more.
! As you know, we travel the world sharing the love & gospel of Christ. Well, we have been moved to make sure we personally place the fingerprints of our Glorious God on lives across this great nation. It isn't enough that we do it in our home town. It isn't enough that we take it to the uttermost parts of the earth. We desire to minister in each state with such love & service, all in the name of Christ.
! Our prayer is for our actions to reach those outside the church who are hurting. This effort is taking us to food banks, shelters, & crisis centers across the U.S. (1) that we might win the lost. (2) that we might bring healing & comfort to the Broken. (3) may our actions challenge the bride of Christ to awake, rise up, and engage the world.
! In our planning and praying for this trip we have realized the magnitude of what this will cost us as a family, and also as a ministry. It will physically take much out of us. It will financially squeeze us. It will emotionally break us. However, It will Spiritually electrify us to witness the Lord perform greater things than we could hope or imagine. According to our map & without any major hiccups, we will be traveling approximately 13,234 miles. According to the mpg of our suburban (14), which we assume we'll be using unless the Lord provides otherwise, the amount of gas we will be purchasing is 945 gallons. At the current national average of $3.60 per gallon of gas we have projected a cost of $3,402. Each night we have planned to rent a double room (along with a few sleeping bags) so we can get some much needed rest. This trip will have us on the road from March 22nd until May 16th, which spans 55 nights. At approximately $125 a night on average, we project the cost to be $6875. We also expect to give away well over 500 copies of each Broken Vessels cd. We will need to place a reorder of these CDs to use specifically for this purpose. The cost for this would be $2,120. Since we will be on the road, we have alotted a $100/day meal plan for our family of 8. Which brings that need to $5500. We are also praying the Lord provides enough finances that we may give out backpacks filled with care items & Christian material. Prayerfully we are still seeking wisdom on bringing this all together. Our projected budget for this is currently $20,000. Broken Vessels looks forward to looking into the eyes of those in need & showing them that Christ loves them. You can make this a possibility. Please join us in prayer & financial support for this U.S. Mission trip. Donations may be sent to Broken Vessels PO Box 1469 DeRidder, LA 70634. Again, We are a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization & your financial support of this ministry will be tax deductible. However, even greater, you will be storing up treasures in Heaven. (Phil 4:17)
Thank you for your prayers & partnership. To God be ALL the Glory!!

& I See U (an N.I.C.U. ministry)

Our hearts have once again been stirred and challenged by dear friends of ours who saw a vision to minister to families with children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Shands NICU in Jacksonville, FL. Their story is truly miraculous. The Rhodens have begun "giving back" thru a ministry they call "MiraKles Happen". www.mirakleshappen.com
Broken Vessels has been inspired by this, not only to assist them in their efforts, but to branch this type of ministry beyond Jacksonville, FL. Our desire is to begin a division of BV specifically for ministering to N.I.C.U. families. Each Thanksgiving season, we along with our representatives, would deliver care baskets & prayer to those who greatly need it.
Many of you are aware of how the Dardar family has been greatly affected by our personal experience with the NICU. My brother Sonny along with his wife, Cassie, delivered twins in '07. Sean was the eldest and in great health. Taylor was born and immediately his heart stopped. Once his heartbeat returned, there had been extensive damage to his internal organs. He was moved from Gulfport to the NICU at UMC in Jackson, MS. There we were with him, singing, praying and asking God for a miracle. However, 17 days following, Taylor received eternal healing and went to be with the Lord. The staff and nurses were excellent and very caring. Our hearts even then went out to the children and families who were in there with us. As our song 'We Love You' states, "Don't let our hearts reach out farther than our hands.."; we pray this aspect of our ministry will permit us to show compassion and not just feel it.
Each care basket will contain:
A $40 Visa gift card (able to be used where needed:food, gas, etc.) A Jesus Calling devotional
Free Music from Broken Vessels
An "I Love You & I See You" onesie
An "I Love You & I See You" coffee mug
An "I Love You & I See You" journal
Also travel sized toiletry items.
How can you help and get involved? Well, we will be needing a representative for the USA NICU in Mobile, AL. My brother and his family will be ministering in Jackson, MS. My family and I will be ministering at Oschner in New Orleans and possibly at each location. We will also be assisting the Rhodens with their efforts in Jacksonville, FL. Financially, we project each basket to cost an average of $75. So donations would be needed in making this ministry successful. We will attempt 200 baskets to be dispersed over 4 locations. Bringing a financial need of $15,000. May we be the hands that hold and the voice which speaks peace. Let's reach beyond ourselves, minister to the hurting, and make this vision a reality for the Glory of God.

"Extended" Family,
Great is Our God! Thanks to the collective efforts of so many of God's children from all over this
great nation, we have witnessed Christ move in a mighty way. It is our privilege & challenge according to Luke 8:39 to return home & share with you what He has done.
So far this year we have been able to partner with many organizations & churches to impact their communities with the power of the gospel. Some such events were:
*2013 MS Bible Prophecy Conference w/Elyon Outreach Ministries *Women's Conference w/Pine Baptist Church
*St Luke's Healing Conference
*Father/Daughter Banquet w/FBC DeRidder
*Father/Son Men's Outreach w/SELA
*Disaster Relief in Moore, OK & Volunteer Concert w/Samaritan's Purse
*Orphan Camps in China w/Bring Me Hope
*Statewide PreTeen Invasion 3.5 @Louisiana College w/LBC
Through these Spirit lead events, BV has witnessed souls surrender to the Lordship of Christ for salvation, service, & Ministry. ALL this is accredited to your account. (Phil 4:17)
Great news. Our year is not done. Our plans are not over. We are seeking the Lord's face for wisdom for: SYATP in AL; College Night in FL; 2014 Spring U.S. Mission Tour; and 2014 China Summer Camps. Please continue supporting our ministry thru prayer & monthly financial support.

"Well, how was China?" Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Yes, we are back. I think last night was our final night of sporadic wake ups. Trusting it was anyway :0) Our family was able to be with our home church for last night's activities. It was then I realized how difficult answering this simple question would be. "Well, how was China?"
Where do I begin? What is the emphasis? Highlights? Do you really want to hear the ups & downs? Are you asking to be polite? How much time do you have?!
I feel to some I talked your ear off with rambling. To others I feel I didn't share enough.
This will be my attempt to give a decent overview of what we experienced as a family, ministry, & missions team together in China.
Much hard work & sacrificial giving went into making this trip a possibility. Christ blew our minds moment after moment, provision after provision, till everything was raised & purchased. Some of you sold your couches; some sold riding lawn mowers; some made homemade jellies for us to sell; children gave through their local church VBS offerings; countless others gave of what they had & many even gave when they had not. Watching my own children creatively paint, work, cook, bake, etc. to help fund it was truly a blessing. Therefore, I begin with "Thank You, people of God who prayed, gave, & served with us. The eternal fruit of this trip, some seen, & most not yet known, is attributed to your heavenly account". " (Phil 4:17)
We spent 5 days training together with Bring Me Hope summer staff in Beijing. This group of folks would be divided into 4 separate locations to run the camps. Our group, under the leadership of Camp Director James Blankenship of Elyon Outreach Ministries from Laurel, MS was being stationed in XinZheng outside ZhengZhou @SIAS University. We had such a great chemistry between our China & foreign leaders.
Our home for the next four weeks would be "The Castle". After cleaning & stocking the rooms in which our volunteers & campers would be living for a week, we awaited their arrivals. Volunteers would come in on the weekends & were orientated & prepared for the week to come. Mondays were when we finally received the orphans & the real FUN began.
Our theme for the camp was CHOSEN. James & I were able to get direction for a story & lessons through the life of David for teaching these children. Six lessons were taught. We were able to break CHOSEN down as an acrostic topical outline which went right along with the story. I was so pumped how James seamlessly wrote an original paraphrased version of the story of David. The outline was as follows:
C- Chosen :0) (Monday 1pm)
H- Healthy Perspective (Monday 7pm)
O- Only One You (Tuesday 9am)
S- Special for a Purpose (Tuesday 4pm)
E- Empty Pieces (Wednesday 9am)
N- Need a Plan (Thursday 9am)

As I said, this is an overview. :0)
Mondays we introduced volunteers to translators & had them ready for their kid(s) to complete the family group. We were able to take them swimming (many for the first time). Family group photos were eventful. Especially the first when the "Great Dust Storm of 2013" came through, actually cutting my wife's head. Haha. Most nights ended with movie time as the translators & volunteers were able to meet & discuss the day. Then, we as staff met and completed any specific tasks which may have been necessary before the following day.
Tuesdays added Craft time. Which my wife, Melisa beautifully handled. She does such a great job leading and orchestrating these crafts which brought out the lessons being taught all week & placed in a memory book for each child to take with them. Tuesday evenings were a blast as we allowed the children to step into the shoes of David and "slay" Goliath. (a huge slingshot & water balloons) So much Fun!!
Wednesdays were prolly the most challenging yet rewarding. Our family groups went out on a Family adventure to a local amusement park. There the children were able to ride a roller coaster, carousels, go karts, and many other great games. Our last week proved to be the most difficult as we had 10 children in wheel chairs. Some staff & volunteers were a bit discouraged before we went & wondering if it would be possible. James & I met the night before to discuss if we should. We then shared with our people that no doubt it will be the hardest hour & a half of work, but lets step back & see it through the eyes of these kids, who may never have an opportunity to do this. It proved to be one of the best times of the summer. Wednesday afternoons each family group shared their Life Charts together & really got to the hear the stories and hearts of each child, translator and volunteer. Brokenness, Healing, & Understanding would come out of this. Wednesday evening Talent Shows had us rolling with laughter, staring with shocked faces, and even weeping in amazement as some walked on their own, danced, sang, completed puzzles, showcased their magic tricks, performed skits & etc.
Thursdays was the most moving of the nights. Coronation Night. They began dressing up as princesses, knights, and as some of the strangest characters. Ryan (our Chinese speaking translator) in a dress was prolly my favorite. LOL! We gave each volunteer the opportunity to stand & call their child by name to come & be crowned either King or Queen. Of course all the while, Audio A's "Kings & Queens" is jamming in the background. We then had a dance party & cake to close out the night. Beautiful!
Then Fridays. Here in the U.S. we long for Fridays. This summer in China... dreaded 'em. We had our last craft time & assembly together. After lunch, the bus would arrive and we would have to walk our kids out. Hearts broke. Hands pried apart. Deafening Cries. Our hearts longing to snatch each one up & say "No. I won't let you go." & hearing their hearts cry out to hear the same. We would stand in a weeping silence as we watched the bus drive off with the children we fell in love with. Yep. That was our Fridays.
However, immediately following the departure were some of the best worship services I have been a part of. Realizing His love & care for them is much deeper & greater than ours. We placed their lives and our hurt in His hands & asked for the strength to go through it again week after week. Friday nights were closed out by honoring the translators, who gave of their time and gift of tongues to be the voice for each foreign volunteer & Chinese orphan.
Saturdays began it all over again with the work, cleaning, recouping, and preparation.
I truly wish this overview would do it justice. A few churches have requested for us to come in and share in greater detail. I hope you can attend one such event to hear the stories (even from the eyes of our children) of what the Lord accomplished this summer. Maybe your church would like to schedule such an event. Just let us know: tory@brokenvessels.com or booking at www.brokenvessels.com. Getting you to fully understand what it is we went through, would simply be inviting you to join us if we go again next year. Be praying for us as we seek the Lord's face for direction & provision in this matter.
So, "How was China?" To be totally honest, we personally will only begin understanding the true magnitude & impact it had on our lives as we live out the days, weeks, & months to come. Thanks and blessings to you all.

Broken Vessels Ministry has been a full time Faith Based NonProfit 501(c)3 Organization for over 13 years now. We have witnessed the Lord accomplish great things throughout those years. The Missions department & its many ventures all over the world has been the hands & feet of the gospel of Jesus Christ in many areas. As for our Foreign Missions, our first trips were to Brazil. There we witnessed over 2800 decisions for Christ each time we went. Such results only caused us to hunger for more opportunities. The Lord then opened doors for us to go to Honduras and Nicaragua. It was in these areas our eyes were open to poverty so great, that we would never be the same again. Seeing first hand how the Lord's presence & His power moved upon hearts which were truly ripe unto harvest as the Word of the Lord clearly states. Again, large numbers of souls made commitments to a Holy God. Christ saw fit to continue to open doors for our Foreign missions, having sent us to unreached people groups in India. Also, placing on us a burden to reach the world who would be gathering at the Winter Olympics in Canada & the Olympics in London. Here we are on the brink of reaching groups of orphans in China, who many have been tossed aside & devalued by family & society. I am excited & anticipating a great move of God upon the hearts of these orphans & translators who need to feel & understand the Love of Jesus Christ.
Concerning our local missions, we have had opportunities to help rebuild homes & churches both in south MS & south east Louisiana following multiple hurricanes. We have been able to serve in local food banks & along side addiction ministries who are impacting their communities with the Seen Love of a Sacrificial Savior. Currently we have in planning, a trip for 2014 which will take us into all 48 connected states. The goal of this trip is to take the gospel of Christ, His love & His servant heart to the unreached, unchurched, hurting people by serving with local food banks, shelters, crisis pregnancy centers, and challenging & aiding the local church to engage it's communities in no one else's name but simply in the Name which is above all names; the only name by which men may be saved, the precious & powerful name of Jesus.
Most of you know us more as the band "Broken Vessels" & that's fine. It is a joy & an honor to be able to use our talents & our abilities to be able to help fund our purpose of furthering the gospel. Truth is, we see our band aspect as a great way to motivate the church to STOP sitting around & enjoying calling ourselves Christians while we point out faults in everyone. But to BEGIN to hunger & thirst for the righteousness of a Holy God who gave Himself for us that we might give ourselves a ransom for many as well to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Just yesterday in my Bible study I came across my notes in 2 Corinthians 4:5 which says "For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond servants for Jesus sake." Do we really? The majority of what I hear out of the mouths of believers today is the "freedom" we have in Christ. Yes, "For freedom Christ has set us free.", but what is sad is, I see the children of God acting just like children. Using the "freedom" to see how much of the world they can enjoy & still be able to say they are not of it. "How much can I do?". "How close can I get?". When really, we need to realize, Our flesh should be dead! Crucified! "Daily" as Paul has said. When Christ set us free, He set us free from the slavery of Sin that we might through our liberty find ourselves as slaves to God. Purchased by His blood. We are no longer our own. Understanding the value of what was given for us. To see ourselves as Gomer in the eyes of her lover Hosea. Yet to have an understanding such as Paul- "for me to live is Christ & to die is gain". Release your grip of this world & hold fast the things of God. It is far too late in this temporal life & much to important in the eyes of eternity for us to be playing games. We must be about our Father's business. We must be chasing Him with our whole hearts, serving others with our Holy hands, and storing up treasures in our Heavenly home.
I apologize for the rabbit chase, but to get back to point, our band gives us a great opportunity to share in music of what the Lord has done & is doing in our lives. Christ then takes advantage of this & changes the hearts & lives of those present in attendance.
The Lord has recently been opening more opportunity for me (Tory) to preach as well. I admit that I feel as though I am not adequate, but I will most definitely take full advantage of any chance to be a mouthpiece or instrument for God to speak His word through. Also, in light of such doors opening, I am praying for the wisdom & opportunity to further my education through seminary studies. As the Lord provides wisdom & means for such, I will proceed in doing so.
It is through leading out in revivals, bible conferences, camps, DNows, and retreats, that we see the Lord providing for our families. As I have said at the beginning, we have been a full time Faith based NonProfit ministry for over 13 years now & have seen the Faithfulness of our Lord. Many of you have given financially to helping us accomplish all that we have shared of, to which we say "thank you". As Philippians 4:17 tells us, the fruit we have seen, is attributed to your account as well.
God has always been our source of provision. Truth is, you have always been God's source of providing. There is nothing we have done & nothing we can do without you allowing God to move your hearts to joining with our ministry in financial support & prayer. I ask you to prayerfully consider becoming a faithful monthly supporter of our ministry. This will help us to actually establish a budget which will aid us in our planning of future mission trips, events, equipment needs & repairs, etc. Our ministry could use a few "Tenors". Folks willing to commit to faithfully support our ministry with monthly donations of "10 or" $20. :0) If you pray & feel the Lord desiring for you to join with our ministry efforts, please write to us, along with your monthly donation to:

Thy Work-Rest Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

I want to encourage you with this Word the Lord gave me today.
2 Chronicles 16:9
"For the eyes of the Lord move to & fro throughout the earth that HE may STRONGLY SUPPORT those whose heart is COMPLETELY HIS."
Let us not waiver in our Faith, brother. God is good & He is searching our hearts to see if it is completely His. His support is STRONG!! We need not worry ourselves of His provision, it is already promised us. (Phil. 4:19) We must continue to allow our hearts to be Broken & focused solely upon Him.
As J. Hudson Taylor once said, "Let us see that we keep God before our eyes; that we walk in His ways and seek to please and glorify Him in everything, great and small. Depend upon it, God's work, done in God's way, will never lack God's supplies."
My prayer: Lord, You show forth Your Power & Provision in what You have called us to do. For the Glory of Your Great Name!!
Reminder:
(from an unknown source as spoken from God to us)
"Bear not a single care thyself,
One is too much for thee;
The work is mine, and mine alone;
Thy work – to rest in me."
Love u.

AIRFARE MIRACLE Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Guys, We are trusting the Lord to raise up the funds needed for our Airfare to China. We are believing Him to do so by this Easter Sun (Mar. 31). He can fulfill it whenever He desires & we know this, but we have set this goal for ourselves, fans, friends, family, & our financial supporters to reach for what seems to be impossible; just to prove that it is NOT our doing but the Lord's!! If you individually would commit to give $10, $20, or even $50 to help us reach China with the gospel of Christ, I know many orphans who would be grateful to hear & see such love! Or you collectively as a group, organization, or church may decide to give $500, $1000, or more toward this Kingdom building opportunity; it is all needed. The Lord will see your sacrifice & honor it. "I don't say this because I want a gift from you. Rather, I want you to receive a reward for your kindness." (PHIL. 4:17) We trust & believe that God can do amazingly above all that we can ever hope or imagine. Let Him be real in your life. May He use you in this effort to reach those He died for in China. Giving is as simple as going to brokenvessels.com clicking the donate button & following the directions. Or you can mail check or money order to: Broken Vessels PO Box 1469 DeRidder, LA 70634. Funds for CHINA Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Folks,
We have been praying for direction on a trip to China. This July, Our family of 8 will be loving on & ministering to groups of Orphans for 5 weeks in China. To be able to minister as a family in this particular way, has been a prayer of ours for quite sometime. James 1:27-"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for the orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you." If we as a family unit can act upon this & live this out, who knows what the Lord would choose to accomplish through willing hearts.
I ask for your prayers concerning the expense of such a mission trip. We are looking at approximately $3700 per person. Which for our family of 8 would be a total of $29,600. If we are able to raise more, we will use it to help cover our monthly bills at home while we are gone. We are needing to raise this by June 1st. Of course the flight tickets are the majority of the expense & would need to be purchased sooner than later to acquire them at their cheapest rate. It will take a miracle of God exercised through folks like you. If the Lord lays upon your heart to help us reach this amount, it would be greatly appreciated. To give toward this trip, we have a donate button on our IndieHeaven.com artist page, or on our website -www.brokenvessels.com
It is a great undertaking for our ministry, but we know that where the Lord guides, He provides. Please ask of the Lord what He would have you contribute, either way, your prayers are definitely coveted. Thank you so much!!

Folks,
We have been praying for direction on a trip to China. Our family of 8 will be loving on & ministering to groups of Orphans for 5 weeks in China.
I do ask for your prayers concerning the expense of such a mission trip. We are looking at approximately $3700 per person. Which for our family of 8 would be a total of $29,600. We will also try to raise enough to cover our monthly bills while we are gone. If the Lord lays upon your heart to help us reach this amount, we would greatly appreciate it. To do so, we have a donate button on our artist page, or on our website -www.brokenvessels.com
It is a great undertaking for our ministry, but we know that where the Lord guides, He provides. Please ask of the Lord if He would have you contribute, either way, we will definitely need your prayers. Thank you so much!!

How fitting it is for BV's new single "I'm Not" to release on Jan. 31st. It was written from the true life experiences of lead singer -Tory Dardar. It speaks of the hardships of young lovers growing in love as believers, amidst the ups & downs of life. From yielding to temptation, bending but not breaking from life's situations, & yet holding to the promise that Christ is not through with us & He is ever shaping us into who He desires us to be. Jan 31st is the anniversary of Tory & his wife, Melisa, 15 years ago to this date. We have put a lot of time, effort, & prayer into bringing you this song. I hope you enjoy it as much as we love living it out day by day along with our six beautiful children. I encourage you to get your download today & share with everyone to do the same.

We are truly a blessed people who should continue to share the personal testimonies of the Lord's provision, protection, redemption & Salvation with our children, church families, neighbors, & all we come in contact with. As you can tell by looking around, there is no greater time for the children of God to be both Visible & Vocal of the gospel of Christ. This year is to be our best year for building the Kingdom of God. "How do you know?", you might ask. Well we are "leaving that which is behind & reaching for those things which are ahead", trying to live out Phil. 3:12-16. Encouraging you all, as it states- "let us be of the same mind."
Broken Vessels has a BIG year ahead of us. Beginning with the release of our new single "I'm Not" January 31st to iTunes. This is a song that is very close to my heart, in it being a personal testimony of the life & relationship between my wife & I. The 31st of January also happens to be our anniversary & it will also allow 2 weeks of circulation & possible radio airplay before Valentines Day. I pray you guys will begin enjoying it the day of its release.
We are considering using "KickStarter" for our next recording project. Through much advice & counseling, we feel it would be a success. Our goal is to launch this fund raising campaign in March. This will allow us the month of March to raise up approximately $25,000 to fully fund our next album. I will challenge each of you who are as eager to hear it as we are to complete it, to pray over how you will financially help us accomplish such a task. Again, more info on this will be announced mid February.
Broken Vessels has committed this year not to allow finances be the reason a churches or organizations can not bring us in. Our desire is to find enough work or monthly support which will enable us to go anywhere, anytime, for the furtherance of the Kingdom.
MISSIONS: The Lord has placed before us another great opportunity which we are praying over, in which the Dardar family may be volunteering time in the month of July to engage orphans in China with the Love of Christ through the Bring Me Hope Camps. If the Lord leads us, we know His provision will be given, and His peace will stir our hearts to commit. Please be in prayer with us on this.
MINISTRY NEEDS: A few things we are trusting the Lord for in order to be more effective this year are:
1. New Ministry Vehicle- for safe, efficient, dependable travel
2. Trailer repairs
3. Sound Equipment- 2 xti6000 amps; sub & snake
MINISTRY GOALS recapped:
1. "I'm Not" Single Release (Jan 31st)
2. Successful CD Fund Raising (March)
3. Release of the new Album (Summer)
4. Possible Mission trip to CHINA (July)
5. Reaching our Projected Financial Expenses & Goals

"Let it be seen in 2013" Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

We are going into our 13th year of full-time ministry. "Let it be seen in 2013!!!" is our slogan for this upcoming year. The Lord laid on my heart a challenge for our ministry & its supporters to let our faith be visible. I began recalling scripture which both confirmed & excited my spirit for this vision & challenge. I ask that you now allow me to take a little time & share it with you.

How can you "Let it be seen in 2013"?
I. In Your Sacrifice to God

A. With Your Talents 1 Tim. 4:7

B. With Your Time James 4:14; Eph. 5:15-16

C. With Your Treasure 1 Chr. 29:12; Matt. 6:21; Prov. 11:24-25

II. In Your Service to Others

A. Toward Strangers Heb. 13:2; Matt. 25:35
B. Toward Saints John 13:34-35

C. Through Suffering 1 Peter 2:21; Matt. 5:11,12
III. In Your Support of Our Ministry

A. What We Have Seen
1. Seasons of Planting Luke 8:4-15
2. Seasons of Watering 1 Cor. 3:6-11
3. Seasons of Harvest John 4:34-38
B. What We Are Seeing
1. Times of Famine

2. Time for Family Ministry

3. Times of Faith

C. What We Will See

1. Greater Faith

2. Greater Fruit Luke 10:2; Psalm 126:5-6

In 2013, Broken Vessels plans to let our Faith be seen by ministering in areas & events where folks would love to have a band but can't "afford" one. I know what it was like growing up in a smaller church, in a smaller community. We were not able to bring in bands & such. I desire to minister in these situations & be available for such churches. We have always tried working within budgets but when we discussed the expenses it put on our ministry to be a part of their events, many believed they could not bear it. Sadly, we missed out on ministering in those situations. I am praying for either financial backers who believe in our ministry & this vision, to come along side us and support us monthly that we might accomplish this (Phil. 4:17), or/and for the Lord to provide me with jobs which would enable me to personally cover such expenses. Our God is able to supply all of our needs. As a matter of fact, He has promised us this. Phil. 4:19.
BV's goal is to fill our calendar with opportunities to testify of who our God is & what He has done. I long to lead worship & preach revival services. I long to host block parties in major cities across America. I long to minister alongside my family in Conferences, Camps, Retreats, Disciple Nows, etc. I long to return to places we have been, yet witness the Lord expanding our coast. Please earnestly pray with us for this.

WE ARE FLYING OUT IN 5 DAYS!!!
Oh my goodness, we are pumped!! All of OUR (which is inclusive of you guys) efforts, planning, giving, fasting, praying, etc. has lead us to where we are today. I hope you are as excited & expectant as we are. God is up to something great thru this ministry. We cannot wait to see what He accomplishes within this next month, and beyond!
Many of you already have committed to be prayer warriors & we thank you. Prayer is the fuel which keeps our focus on the Kingdom & the King's anointing upon us.
We would like to ask you all to prayerfully consider coming on board with this ministry as financial monthly supporters. I could throw out something cute like "we need a few 'tenors' to join our group...folks willing to commit to give $10 a month" :0) (which I have done in the past) But you know what, Our God is bigger than that. I just want to let you know that here is an opportunity to invest in eternal Kingdom work. Not for some temporal earthly goal, but for the goal of leading others to the throne of God; leading folks to a place where they see, hear, & feel the presence of Christ & walk away different.
BROKEN VESSELS IS A 501c3 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION. All that says is: You can give freely and it count as a tax relief. But we trust, that when God says "Give", you give in obedience 'as unto the Lord'; trusting in Him for your direction and provision.
Thank you ALL so much for the encouragement & blessing you have been during this time of fund raising & preparation for the London Olympic Tour. To God be ALL the Glory!! Blessings

2012 Olympic Tour

We are excited about the opportunity set before us to spread the Gospel in the UK. We have partnered with Lay Witnesses for Christ in reaching the masses from all over the world gathering at the 2012 Olympics.

"We are proud to endorse Broken Vessels as a part of our 2012 Bridging the Gap
UK Outreach Team. This amazingly talented musical group will be scheduled at
churches across London at our outreach events. Their role is critical to helping us
provide evangelism daily at events across the city every day during the Olympics.
We anticipate that this year will be the biggest opportunity yet to bring the gospel
to the world. Through television, social media, web connection, radio and news
media, we will impact countless lives. We are excited to have the Broken Vessels
team as part of our missions trip." - Sam Mings Founder of LWFCI

We are needing to raise financial support to accomplish such a task. It will cost approximately $4000 for each member. We could really use your prayerful sacrificial support to get us there. Would you partner with us in accomplishing this challenge.

Here is a link to find out a little more information of the opportunity: http://youtu.be/1VdItReuj3I

You can make donations either by clicking the yellow 'DONATE' button above or at LWFCI.com. Please specify that your donation is to sponsor Broken Vessels to London Olympics.

BV News Update!!
Wow! What a glorious response to the gospel we have seen this year thus far. Folks are surrendering to the call God has placed upon their lives, not only for salvation but to go where He leads. We are so thankful for those who have decided to partner with our ministry as monthly supporters. Without the constant love and support from these individuals, it would be extremely difficult. We have always believed the Lord for every one of our needs and He has proven Himself True and Faithful in every situation. Some of you may be wondering how you can become a monthly financial supporter of our 501c3 nonprofit ministry. There are a few ways: The simplest and easiest way would be to pray over how much the Lord would have you contribute monthly. When He speaks it is clear. You can then mail a check or money order to:
Broken Vessels Ministry
PO Box 1469
DeRidder, LA 70634
Another way you can go about donating monthly is by simply locating the Donate by PayPal button on our website. Follow the easy directions and it will automatically enter our account and notify us of your donation. At the end of each month we will send out a donation verification receipt along with a Thank You for you to have on record. Thank you for your prayerful consideration and for your obedience to the Lord.
There are always SO many things we find ourselves praying over and seeking direction for. Some of the latest prayer needs we have are: (1) More Concert opportunities (2) Direction on where to go on our next Mission Trip (3) Finances to record the next great BV album :0) (4) Funds to hire a radio promoter to help get BV on your favorite radio stations (5) New Transportation –praying over the possibility of a tour bus (6) Last but not least More songs that'll minister to God's people and draw others into a personal relationship with Christ.

Again, we are amazed at what the Lord has already done this year. Anticipating what He will do next and throughout the remainder of our schedule. I want to challenge you to live your life as a Broken Vessel: A Continual filling of the Spirit and pouring out of Him on others you come in contact with. Serve Him by serving others. Sacrificial living as He demonstrated to us. To God be the Glory!!!

God has been opening doors for us this year and we are so excited about what the Lord is doing. Many decisions for the Lord have already been made this year and we trust that the "fields are white unto harvest" and we desire to be His laborers. The Lord has proven Himself faithful, time and time again. We long to rest in His hands as a tool for Him to use for His good pleasure. We trust this year will be the best year BV has ever seen. Please pray for us as we go. We are praying for more opportunities to do concerts which will allow us to share the stories behind the songs and events in life that the Lord has brought us through. The band has been blessed to be part of a few Dnows, conferences, and camps already in 2011. We would also like to let you know Tory Dardar (lead vocalist) is avavilable to lead worship for Revivals on a Love Offering basis. If we can be of service to you in anyway, please let us know. 'So Others Might HEAR' Campaign Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

For a limited time, we have launched a campaign: "So Others Might HEAR". As many of you know, our new album is titled- So Others Might Live. It is a lyrical challenge to realize the examples Christ has set before us, that when followed, will lead us to a life of surrender to Him and service to others, which in turn will bring true satisfaction to us.
Here is what this campaign consist of:
1- When you purchase one of our new CDs (at our live events), you will receive a download card from us.
*This download card is for our album in its entirety. All 10 songs!!
2- The download card serves many purposes:
1-FOR OTHERS- We challenge you to randomly give this out: to a stranger, someone you know is hurting, or to someone who you feel may be benefited by this message. You may not always have our CD handy but the benefit of this card it is fits in your purse, wallet, bag, pocket, pretty much anywhere. Makes a great tip in restaurants as well. (along with a great monetary tip- don't be cheap ;0)) Many great ideas u can come up with to get it into the hands of others.
2- FOR YOU- This allows you an opportunity to minister! It will put you in a place of seeking the Spirit's guidance and cause you to be sensitive to His leadership. The ministry of Broken Vessels has never been about us, but about us helping to equip the church with knowledge and the 'want to' to serve the Lord. We strongly feel this campaign will aid in these efforts.
3- FOR CHRIST- Doing this will enable the gospel of Jesus Christ and the message of His great love and passion for mankind to be spread abroad much quicker than we alone ourselves can do. If you have ever heard us live, you know we send forth a message of urgency. The days are too short for this life. As the old song my Pops used to sing, "Here today, and gone tomorrow." There are so many people hurting, confused, lost, forsaken, abandoned, cast aside, and so forth, who desperately need to know that Christ loves them and gave Himself for them. Please help us get this message of Hope and Salvation in the hands of such people. We will trust along with you that the Lord will bring the increase.
**Final Word: God is busy. He is moving and working in the lives of others. Our desire is to simply get in on what God is already doing. Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support of this ministry. To God be the Glory!!!

Mission Trippin' in Vancouver Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Well, I had quite an adventurous journey thru the great and beautiful city of Vancouver, BC during the 2010 Winter Olympics. When we arrived, we participated in a great worship service with about 350+ attendees. The church was filled with leaders and volunteers from More than Gold and the Salvation Army. We were challenged, warned and informed about the many different aspects of the Canadian lifestyle. My good friend, James Blankenship, who is serving as the Associate Pastor and Student Minister at Highland Baptist Church in Laurel, MS, felt as if this was to be a great mission for him and me to embark upon. It proved to be such.
Our first few endeavors were within "red" zones. Those were the zones in which we could not openly share anything of our faith or the purpose to which we were there volunteering. We only had the liberty to give a hot cup of coffee or a cup of hot chocolate and a warm smile to whomever would receive it. That in itself was a very gratifying experience to be able to just share stories and engage in conversations about all the great countries that were represented in the Olympics games. We left our air mattresses at 3 o'clock in the morning and left the church Sunday school class rooms at 3:30. We arrived on site at 4 a.m. and worked there until we were relieved by another team of volunteers. There were quite a few teams, so we generally were only on location for 4-5 hours. We were then able to "engage with the locals" (ha) to strike up conversations and try to steer them spiritually so that we might share our faith with them and offer them materials or New Testaments, Book of Mark, and many others.
One of the strangest things I encountered was the infatuation of lapel pin trading. You would be surprised as to how many doors trading pins would open for the presentation of the Gospel. I was proud of the fact that the organizations to which we volunteered had done their research and provided us with plenty of lapel pins in order for us to take advantage of this opportunity.
We never worked in a "yellow" zone. However we did get to serve in a few "green" zones. Man, what a time we had! We had these Ghostbusters- like backpacks which held containers of either coffee or hot chocolate and were able to roam the busy streets or sky train stations offering these items. Many people had never seen the likes of such service. But what a time we had. Of course many tried to give donations for the cause but we advised them that we were simply giving out. We appreciated them, and even received some of the prayers and thanks for such a great work being done in their city.
Midway thru our trip, I had the opportunity to sing at Waves Coffee House, one of the local coffee houses in North Vancouver. It was a place James and I frequented quite regularly during our time there. It was such a hot spot for engaging in conversation with the locals there. I would hand out many CDs to the people who visited and worked there. When offered to sing after the live band had already played, I was a bit nervous. Especially due to the fact I would have to ask them to use their equipment and instrument. Haha. Well, The Lord worked it all out and we had a great time singing and getting to know everyone even better.
It was on our last "green" zone outing that we were able to lead a young college girl to the Lord. Our eyes were opened to the Truth of the Word of God when it states that the fields are white unto harvest. This young lady was prepared by God for our meeting. I am only grateful for the fact that we were prepared as well. This young lady proceeded to tell us that she was tired of the cycle in her life-School/work/partying on weekends and over again. She said someone gave her a Bible two days before this moment. Our friend Rena shared with her a gospel presentation with James and I chiming in from time to time, and this young lady said, "This is 'good news' to me." That blew my mind. Is that not the gospel? :0) She then told us how she was studying biology and how every cell in her body works in order, not because she tells it to, but simply cause it does. Her next response was that there no doubt must be a God. Mrs. Rena asked her what she thinks she needs to do and the girl responded "Repent." Wow!! God was all over this. She then called out to God in prayer asking for forgiveness, salvation, and also to become as the three people today who took time to share the Truth with her. I tell you this: despite my getting extremely ill, despite the barriers, despite the enemy's tactics, God proved Himself strong and mighty.
I am so excited about what the Lord is doing in and thru the life of this ministry. Please keep us in your prayers as we are praying about a trip to India and as of recent a trip to Kenya. Not to mention all the doors the Lord is opening here for us to share the message of Christ here in the States. We thank you for your prayers and financial support which allows us to continue to reach a hurting world with the healing message of Jesus Christ. Thank you. To God be the Glory!!!!

Please pray for the Galliano family from LaRose, LA. I was able to minister through song yesterday at the funeral services for Willie Galliano. He was a just man who was killed in a car accident. He left behind four young daughters and a beautiful wife who is expecting to deliver their first son in 2 weeks. It is a heart wrenching story, but you could see yesterday even the grace of Almighty God being poured out upon this young family. Continue to pray for them. They have a long hard road ahead. If the Lord were to lay anything upon your heart to help this family in anyway, please contact us and let us know. Thank you. To God be the Glory!!!!!

Only the Lost Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

As you may or may not be aware, I am here in Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics with a close friend of mine- James Blankenship. He called me up a few months back and said he has gone on many Paul/Timothy mission trips and the Lord laid on his heart to take a Paul/Barnabas mission trip. The Lord then burdened my heart to take this mission trip with him. Well, today we traveled to some of the spots we will be serving at over the next few days. We were able to prayer walk and talk with a few local people. Anyway, after prayer walking, we stopped in to buy a Coke at the Shell station. After talking a bit with the clerk, James asked her if they were expecting a lot of people. Her reply really shook us to our spiritual core. She replied, "Just the lost ones." Wow!!! James said, " Excuse me?!" She then repeated, "Only the lost." Wow!! That is the exact reason we are here. We were burdened with the fact that many lost people from all over the globe will be here for one moment in time in search of great earthly honor, recognition, pride, and pleasure. Christ has said of himself, "I have come to seek and save that which was lost." He then told us "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." Please pray for us as we are amidst the gathering of the nations. May God's anointing hands rest upon us and may His words fill our lips and His love fill our hearts and His Spirit draw men to His side that His will may been done here in Vancouver as it is in Heaven!!!!! To God be the Glory!!!!!

Well, Praise the Lord!!!
I am no longer hurting. Finished up some antibiotics and they seemed to have knocked out an infection. The Lord is so good. Docs had no idea what it was nor where it was. They fought "blindly" and hit the right thing. I strongly feel the Spirit had His hand in the entire process :0) Anyway, to God be the glory.
We were able to have a fantastic weekend with the fine folks of Campground Baptist Church in Saucier/Lyman, MS. The Lord moved in a great way. Challenging us to share our faith unashamed!! PRaying for you guys and looking forward to leading worship at our men's conference at Open Door Baptist Church in Moss Bluff, La on Jan 8th and 9th.
If any of you are interested in hosting a BV concert or having us come lead worship at your church event, we are currently working on our schedule for 2010. Please contact us and we will make it happen.
Thanks again so much for your prayers and we look forward to worshipping with you again soon.

Hey guys,
I had been hurting fore the past 2 weeks. But night for last the pain was so intense I could not sleep a wink. So I went to the ER. Spent the entire day doin CT scans. They found a "mass" in my neck. I had to go to a "specialist" this morning. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for me. Well, I saw the Doc, and he said he had presumed it to be cancer of the larynx. However, he preceeded, when he scoped today, he learned that the "mass" on the xray was merely tonsil tissue. Praise the Holy name of Jesus!! The only thing bad is it still hurts like crazy, and we are back to square 1 on figuring out why. But there is no "mass", no cancer, and no surgery needed at this time. Glory to God!!! Thank you ALL for your prayers and support.

We have been having a greattime with students from all over the US this summer so far. We were able to do the camp in Weatherford where we witnessed many decisions for the Lord. We then lead worship for a camp in the Baton Rouge area and saw the hand of God do a work in the lives of the students there as well. Many from there we are still praying for specificly. We just finished an awesome week at Dry Creek LA. Many students there made decisions for the Lord. I was told by quite a few that God has been leading them into the ministry, so I am praying and ask you to pray for these students as well. We are currently in the midst of revival in our home church of Open Door Baptist Church at our DeRidder campus. Last night, we had some Church up in the place!! I am so looking forward to this evenings service. Please continue to pray for us and our ministry. Thank you all for your support!!! To God be the Glory!!

Nashville Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Oh my goodness!! My daughter was able to come up with me and record. She laid down some harmony for the song "Mercy". She is 11 years old and has an amazing voice. Many, when you see us at a church revival, will more than likely see her sing it with me, if you have not already. God is doing an amazing work in her as well.
We went over to Toby Mac's studio for our lunch break. There we got to talk with Lauren Barlow from Barlow Girl. They are recording for a new album to come out in Sept. We were able to listen to them recording 2 songs. and got a quick pic with her. My daughter was so excited. Ok, I was just as excited. :-) Then we were contemplating heading back to the studio to start again, when I opened the door for this beautiful woman, who I don't really recognize at first. However, she begins down the hall and someone says "Hey Mandisa." So, we actually got to talk with her and she enquired of what we were doing here n Nashville. So I told her we are recording across town and was taking a break. She took a pic wiith Kaytlun (after pinching her cheeks and saying, "You are so beautiful) and encouraged her in her singing. What an awesome woman. Both of these ladies are so sweet. In the midst of their work, they took time for a lil girl to encourage her. What Sweet Spirits!!
The BV cd is coming along awesome!! We actually made a few changes to 1 r 2 songs which may push back the release. However, it also allows us a little more time to acquire the funds to be able to finish it out. I want to thank the guys who are working on it at this very moment. Phil Baquie is laying down some beautiful guitars and doing a phenominal job of production. I would totally recommend all to use this guy. Branden Taulbee has the most amazing tone on the bass. "Mercy" will blow your mind!! Chris Knight is rock solid on the drums. I am looking forward to playing live with these guys once again. Jon Newell did a great job on the keys. Also a quick thanks to Randy Poole and Kent Hooper for their work and help in getting this done professionally. I need to thank all of you guys right now who have already made and continue to make financial contributions. There is no way we would accomploish this without your sensitivity to the Spirit of God to give when prompted. We pray that when you recieve your autographed copy you will be richly blessed and realize the investment you made into the Kingdom work of God. Thanks so much. To God be the Glory!!!

I am very pumped!! We will need to send it for mixing and mastering and all that other fun stuff before we send it off for duplication. The funds for this project have had a HUGE dent put in it, however we are still a ways off. If the Lord were to lead you to be a part of this project financially, you can send a love gift to: Broken Vessels PO Box 1469 DeRidder, La 70634 We would greatly appreciate it and trust God to bless it and bless you in return for doing so.

Looking for "Tenors" Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Hey guys,
We are currently praying that God would raise up some "Tenors" for this ministry. No, we have not become a quartet. We are talking about people who have experienced and believe in the service of this ministry-Folks who believe in the work we are doing for the Kingdom of God and who are willing to support it financially and put feet to prayers. We are looking for supporters who are willing to give "Ten or Twenty" dollars a month to the furthering of the Gospel through Broken Vessels. Many of you may not be aware that we are a 501(c)3 Non profit organization. God has blessed us with a passion for souls and gifted us in the area of music. We STRONGLY feel that this gift of music is the vehicle which funds the work He has called us to do. We have been able to go on 5 mission trips outside the US (Brazil, Honduras, Nicaragua). We have been able to do mission work here in the US (rebuilding churches and homes due to hurricane damage from Gulfport.MS to Houma, LA). Music is a mighty tool that allows us first to minister to the heart, but then also provides for our families to continue to do this work full time. It is our means of survival. Praise the Lord, God has always been faithful to care for our every need. We are wanting to give you the opportunity to get on board with what God is doing through the life of this ministry. Currently we have the opportunity to record our next album. We believe it will be a challenge for Believers to Offer All they have to Christ and a call for lost souls to come to know Him. Our immediate need for accomplishing this goal is approximately $8000. So please pray and ask the Lord what He would have you give. We thank you for all you have done and trust that God will move upon the hearts of all who are to become part of this ministry. -Phil 4:17,19!!!! To God be the Glory!!!

We were honored and privileged to have been a part of the Memorial Service for little Caylee Anthony. We thank Pastor Shane, George, Cindy, and Lee for inviting and allowing us to take part in such a meaningful service for little Caylee.
We simply ask for prayer for this family as they walk through this difficult time. The message at yesterday's service was of hope and joy that we as Christians can have even in times of trial, because Jesus lives!

Thank you to those of you who prayed for us at the Memorial Service Tuesday and have taken time to post comments. We appreciate your encouragement. If you'd like to view the video from the Memorial Service, just click on the video tab above.

Had a great time at FBC Brandon in Brandon, FL. Jeremy Nottingham, student pastor, went above and beyond to make BV feel welcomed and comfortable. We had a great time hanging out with he and his family Tuesday night and worshiping with his students on Wednesday night. Thanks Heather and Meagan for "vandalizing" our van....well, the creative decorating ☺

God has continued to pour out His blessings on us and for that we are very, very grateful! He is continually opening doors. We have added over 7 new dates just in the past 2 to 3 weeks.! A number of tentative dates have yet to be posted...so keep an eye on our schedule. We'd love to see you if we are in/near your area. If you'd like to schedule us for a wonderful time of worship and fellowship, please contact Willowtree Management @ 228-326-5088 or email: sonny@willowtr33.com

Thank all of you who faithfully pray for, encourage, and financially support the ministry of Broken Vessels.

Memorial Services Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

This Tuesday morning at 10AM we will have the honor of being a part of the Memorial Service for Caylee Anthony - a precious young child. Pastor Shane and the grandparents have asked that Broken Vessels sing "Because Jesus Lives" at the services at FBC Orlando. At their request, an additional verse was written in memory of Caylee.

As many of you are aware, there has been tremendous coverage of this tragedy and it has affected this family as well as this community. CNN and other media may be covering the services live. Please pray for God's anointing on Broken Vessels as they minister to this family and community. Pray that God will use them to touch hearts and lives with the Gospel message of hope and love in the midst of tragedy, that we can face tomorrow "Because Jesus Lives". Pray that God touches this family, strengthens this family, and protects this family.

Thank you for your prayers for the Anthony family. Thank you for your prayers for Broken Vessels.

Prayer Request Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

We would like to request your prayer for Broken Vessels as we were contacted last month by Dr. Shane who is ministering to Caylee Anthony's grandparents and family in Orlando, FL. The family requested "Because Jesus Lives". They also asked if Broken Vessels might be able to right a 3rd verse to the song to speak to this family's particular situation.
Tory has written a 3rd verse to the song. We are still waiting to hear when the services, both public and private will be. Please pray for this family and the difficult time that they have gone and are going through. Pray for God's anointing and blessings on Broken Vessels as they have this opportunity to minister to this family.

Hurricane Relief Effort Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

We would like to urge you, your family, your business, small group, church, Sunday School class, and your friends to get involved and participate with us in this hurricane relief effort for the community of Grand Bois, LA. We have been told that only one home in the community was not flooded. We have had opportunity in years past to go and minister through the churches in the area for revivals, singing and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now there is a need and we want to be a blessing to these folks and community. We are requesting of you, who cannot give of yourselves to voluntary physical labor, nor to the financial burden of a project of this magnitude, to please sign up for our round the clock prayer chain for the people in the community of Grand Bois during the weeks of Sept 29-Oct 11th
We will be working in the community during these dates. Our goal is to reach the community of Grand Bois, LA with the Love of Christ by showing and proving our love and Christ's love to them by our action of sacrifice. The Lord has laid on our hearts the cleanup of both inside and outside the homes, (Consisting of gutting, scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, cutting branches, raking, mowing, etc.) Tools and supplies needed are gloves, brooms, mops, Lysol disinfectants, saws, chainsaws, rakes, fuel, good lawnmowers, food for our volunteers, lodging, first aid kits, etc. The Lord has also challenged us to leave with each home a gift card of $100 to Wal-mart for the use of getting groceries, or whatever their particular need may be.
We have estimated the cost of this project to be in the range of $12,500 to $15,000. If you would like to partner with Broken Vessels and bless this community, please contact us at tory@brokenvessels.com You can send your tax deductible contribution to: Broken Vessels PO Box 247 McHenry, MS 39561
Again, we urge you to get involved and make a difference in the lives of these people for the Glory of God. Please forward this on to someone you know who may want to get involved. If you are physically able to come co-labor with us in this effort please contact us and let us know. If you cannot physically participate but the Lord has blessed you or burdened you to give financially to this cause, please contact us as well at tory@brokenvessels.com However, please commit to pray fervently for our efforts and for the Spirit's Power, Protection, and Provision. Thank you and God bless.

"Broken Vessels embodies the essence of what is happening in the Deep South states within the Christian Rock, Praise/Worship, Emerging Worship movement. These guys have all the characteristics any local church or pastor is looking for: authenticity, honesty, integrity. And, they carry the "weight" that radio and the industry are looking for in a band.. the raw, uninhibited passion of worshippers who are not afraid to "crank it to 11" Get this one. Stick it in your player...and "CRANK IT TO 11 !! I bet the LORD himself shows up and does some really cool stuff in your life!!" robby63

WOW!! Thanks "Robby63" for your wonderful comment on iTunes, and to all of you who are praying for, supporting, and encouraging this ministry! We appreciate your friendships. Please let us know how we can pray for you all! God bless!

Recent Camps Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

We have just finished up two wonderful weeks of camp. The first in Livingston, TX, allowed us to serve with Shane Pruitt who is pastoring in Garland, TX. The camp consisted of students from numerous churches from around southeast Texas. We had a very responsive time from the students and are praying that God continues to work in their individual lives.

The second week of camp was in Marianna, FL where we had the privilege of working alongside Bro. Scott Ray who is currently serving on staff at Liberty University. This particular camp had many churches from the Jacksonville area in attendance. The relationships we were able to build with both the pastors and the students were phenomenal. Just the response from each individual camper blew us away. They were willing to open up and share so much with us. By the end of the week, we knew the majority of the 240+ students by name. We are looking forward to worshiping with these guys again soon. May God continue to work in the lives of everyone involved in these camps. What an honor it was for BV to participate.

Next up for us is the Super Summer in Lake Yale, FL. Please remember us, the students, the staff, and all whose hands will be working together for this ministry opportunity in your prayers. Thanks so much. God bless.

No love lost..... Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

...just hair. The rumors circulating that Tory, lead singer for the band, has gotten a hair cut, are true. Check out the pics on our photo page.. All of his "luscious locks", were donated to the organization "Locks of Love". Please take time to post a comment of encouragement to Tory. His family was torn in 2 by the decision to get his hair cut. 3 of his children were for it, the other 3, were saddened.

On another note...the band kicks off their busy summer schedule beginning this Monday. Please pray that God will use them in a mighty way to minister to over 2,000 students at 7 camps across TX, LA, and FL.

Thank you to all of you who faithfully pray for, encourage, and support Broken Vessels. May God continue to bless you and your families.

Element Productions Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

We had the awesome privilege about a month or two ago to meet Greg Stevens of Element Productions from Jennings, LA. He contacted us about doing the sound and production for our cd release concert in Dry Creek, LA. Through meeting with him and getting to know his heart, we felt this would be great. Doing so immensely enriched the evening. We have partnered with Element Productions for a number of events since then. This past weekend in Saucier, MS., was another one of those partnerships. What a night of worship and praise it turned out to be. At the so called "end" of the service, we dismissed in song. However, when the song finished with the roaring of the audience voice, no one had moved. Quickly you could tell that no one was going to move. With the Spirit of God heavy in the place, and in the midst of an awkward brief silence, folks began to shout "we want more." As an artist, you sometimes dream of this exact response. Yet how awesome it is to know and understand that these people are not wanting and needing more of us, but wanting and needing more time and opportunity to continue to pour out their hearts to Almighty God in Worship and Praise. So with the Spirit's guidance and leadership, we did what we know to do-continued to worship and minister in song. It continued for approximately another 30-45 minutes. However, when the last note was sung, no one could deny that the presence of a Holy God showed up and had His way-in us, with us , and through us. We thank God for gracing us with His presence and power. You know as well as we do, once you've tasted the goodness of the Lord, nothing else satisfies. "God grant us more opportunity to praise and adore you." Thanks to all involved. To God be the glory!!!!

Cover of CCM Magazine!!!! Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Hey guys,

How cool is this?!! Broken Vessels has made the cover of CCMMagazine.com featured with the likes of "Red" and "33Miles". What an honor. It blew my mind when Phil Baquie called and said, "(Krikey!!) Dude check it out!!" I was traveling to pick up my boys from MS at the time and couldn't get internet access; so I had called a couple of close friends of mine to check it out for me. They read me the article and I was in awe!! There is a pretty sweet article written of our winning the "2008 Worship Artist of the Year" and partnering with Mission of Mercy. Bro. Keith Mohr from Indieheaven gave us a pretty cool quote as well. What an honor it is to serve with him in this mission of helping out indie artist. His passion and commitment is excellent. What an honor it is to call him a friend. Please take time to check out the article. Pray for us as we continue to grow with the changes God is making in the life of this ministry. Many decisions need to be made. We need your prayers and His wisdom. Thank you and we look forward to worshipping with you guys soon. Give us a call!! To God be the Glory!!!

Mission of Mercy Partnership Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

God had birthed in the heart of this ministry a desire to serve and minister abroad in other countries. We have been on six mission trips in an effort to meet the physical needs of folks in Brazil, Honduras, and Nicaragua which would then allow us to minister to their Spiritual needs as well. We have realized how limited we are in our efforts. However, by the grace of God, we have been given an opportunity through partnering Mission of Mercy, to do much more than we could ever do on our own. MoM serves in 21 different countries. They equip children with Physical, Social, Emotional and Mental development in order to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them. What an honor it is to be a representative of these forgotten children through the ministry of Mission of Mercy. We are praying God will take this partnership and use it for His glory and honor. Thank you Mission of Mercy for letting us on board.

Broken Vessels received the Momentum Awards' 2008 Worship Artist of the Year!! Praise the Lord. Thank you Keith, Kelly and Sue from IH for giving us the opportunity to lead in worship. We really enjoyed having Tom Jackson pick on us in front of everyone. An experience we will never forget. Thank you all who cast their vote for us. Thank you Mission of Mercy for sponsoring the event. Thanks to Phil Baquie (the servant producer) for playing guitar with us Sat. morning. Your production skills are creating a buzz, Bro. Thanks to all the personalities who allowed us to pick their brain for knowledge of how we might better serve in our ministries. Thanks to Bread of Stone for their ministry and the use of their sound system. Thanks to The Darsee Project for letting us use their drum kit and leading us in worship Fri. morn.
We strongly feel that this award will be a great catalyst for opening more doors for Broken Vessels to minister. Thanks to all who made this possible. Keep us in your prayers. May God's anointing hand rest upon us. We know that at any moment it could be over and God can raise up someone else to do what we are doing. We are grateful for each day. To God be the Glory!!!!!

Ministry Needs Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

We have been approached by many different people wanting to know of ways they can be part of this ministry, to get in on what Christ is doing. We are excited about that. For one, we know this ministry is not just us four guys.

This ministry is made up of various men, women, and students giving of their time to pray for us-daily; sacrificing of themselves financially to support us in carrying the gospel to the world around us; and volunteering to help us and co-labor with us on mission trips, at events, and conferences etc. It takes alot of sacrifice from everyone to do what we are called to do. We each have our place. Some are the feet (co-laborers), some are the outstretched hands (financial backers), some the mouth piece (word-of-mouth supporters), some the bended knees (prayer partners), and all are the heart and soul of this ministry. Apart from you guys, we are very limited on what the Lord can accomplish through us.

We have been told, "if we don't know your need, how can we meet it?" So we want to list a few of the "right now" needs this ministry is facing.

1st- We are in desperate need of a newer (low miles) dependable 15 passenger van which can transport us safely and efficiently from one event to the next.
2nd- We are in need of $4000 for the purchase of a cargo trailor. A friend of ours has been letting us use his when he is not in need of it. He is looking to sell it. (It is the appropriate size and has all the safety features needed to properly and adequately do the job)
3rd- We need faithful monthly financial backers. (People who believe in our ministry; who believe in the God we promote; who believe in the message we present; and who desire to have the fruit of the labor of this ministry acredited to their account)

We are very much aware that Paul stated in Phil 4:19-"But my God shall supply all of your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus", but it is shown just a few verses before how vital the church and the individuals of the church are to supporting the ministry. He states in verses 16 and 17 (talking to the church at Phillippi)-"For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account." We are not a people of financial means. We are a ministry, who depend solely on Jesus Christ to supply our needs, knowing He does so through His children who hear the heart of God; who are sensitive to His Spirit; and who are willing to give obediently, and cheerfully exactly what the Lord has shown them to give. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit faith based ministry. We ask now that you pray and if the Lord lays it on your heart for you to partner with this ministry, in any aspect; we trust in an obedient response.

There are many other areas in which to serve in this ministry. There are many other needs we have within this ministry. To learn what they are and how else the Lord can use you, please contact us. Thanks so much. God bless. To God be the glory!!!

here are some of the things people are saying about Broken Vessels:

"Thanks so much for coming and giving of yourselves for Yadkinville, NC. The music was awesome but the fellowship was an even greater blessing. It's refreshing to see guys who are tight musically but aren't all about the music. The Lord works through Broken Vessels." --In Christ, Sterling Griggs

Hey. We just returned home from the In-Depth Conference in Topeka, Kansas. I have brought my youth groups to over 10 of these. God has used you in a mighty way. I've never had a group respond to a band the way they have responded to Broken Vessels. They understand the messages of your songs and talked about how your ministry impacted them. In 25+ years of youth ministry, I've heard lots of "I like the band" talk, but never, "God really spoke to me when the band played [this song]." God's blessing is on you. God bless you and your families.
--John Gaskin Indian Avenue Baptist Church Lawrence, Kansas

I am so proud of you and Sonny and your ministry. I pray ALL the Lord's blessings on you guys. We think of you guys all the time and prayers go out for y'all daily. You know Tory, God blesses those who do His service, and your family has been such an example to me and my family on being faithful, good or bad times. You guys are the true model of discipleship. You have got to know all of us here in Orange are backing you guys. --Billy Frederick

"You guys are a bench-mark for consistency, faithfulness and passion to God's call on one's life. I appreciate your ministry and all you do..." --Ru Mazilly, DeQuincy, LA.
