Dear friends,

I am excited to bring you news that the new CD project 'Let me be me' is FINALLY completed and in the printing stages as we speak. It has been an amazing journey filled with many blessings and the bringing together of new friends and family in the body. I was blessed to work with the amazing Drew Davidsen ( who is right now being featured on XM Radio Watercolors channel...make sure you check out his music if you are a Jazz lover! I also had the privilege of including Mr. Eric Copeland on keyboards for the Coffee Song...I can't wait for you to hear his work and the ever talented Dave Krug on sax. God was just showing off bringing these amazing musicians into my life! We have also worked through some challenges that most notably included the loss of my Drew's Step-father Ralph during this journey as well as some family health issues and know that the devil will always try to get an inroad, but we are thankful that in Christ Jesus we are more than conquerors and that our God has the final say!

The official release date (to purchase online and such) is Dec 15. I will however, be ready with limited copies for sale Dec 11 at Bistro 71 in Chambersburg, Pa. I will be performing from 8-11 with the 9pm hour dedicated to the new album! Please make reservations if you are planning to come as seating is limited...I promise AMAZING music and spectacular food! One Minute Revival Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

As posted by fellow IH member Janelle Ross...(go check her out!)

I received this email today and I wanted to shout it from the rooftops! (As some of you may know I am secretly introverted and not in the habit of shouting anywhere.) I have thought of this before but was unsure how to organize it until now.
I am going to make flyers of this e-mail and put them on my merch table at my concerts. Maybe I will print t-shirts that say "I joined the one minute revolution" .

After all we spend so much time on so many silly things. This is so beautifully simplistic yet could be so monumental if even one out of ten were to really apply it.
I know it is not just about music, but it is all about changing the lives of those we hope to touch with it.

And in a world where the "Marilyn Mansons" have greater freedom of speech than our military chaplains, we "entertainers" could stand for something great. Confused about what to pray? Just ask for God's will for our country and our own lives. I am sure all of us could agree on that right?

The enemy is deliberate and organized. I believe we could be also.

I will be praying, will you join me?

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace.
This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped.

There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in

If you would like to participate: each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the up-coming election, and for the revival of Christianity in this great country.

If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along.

Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless.

Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

Thank You. Please pass this on to anyone who you think will want to join us.

New Moves and Prayer Request Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

My dear friends,

It is a beautiful day here and I am just itching to get outside for a few minutes before students arrive this evening! I just wanted to drop in and share a little bit of what God is doing here and how He is moving in the ministry. Please pray for Lee and I as we are stepping into parts unknown and following His leading.
For a while now I have understood that our purpose is to reach those that have lost their worth and value in Christ...those that feel unloved and unlovable. It is our mission to help them to unearth what God has already birthed in them from before they were formed. Out of this desire has come the call to seed women to women mentoring programs around the country. At this time I would ask that you pray that He would send mature women of faith who would feel the call to serve along side as I plant this seed.
Also, I have come to an understanding that in order to move forward we must have continual 365 prayer covering. This, particularly is where I need your help. I am looking for one person to cover one day per year...yep, you got day a year. On that one day I will send you a specific list of our prayer needs and a reminder the day before, I will also ask for your specific list as I will be praying for you and your families needs that day. You may choose any day you like; just let me know and I'll emial you back immediately confirming your day!
Finally, I want to thank you for being a friend of the ministry...a friend of mine. You are truly a blessing to us and we are blessed for knowing you.

In His love,

IndieHeaven's Momentum Awards
Kerensa Gray nominated in 2 Categories
Female Vocalist of the Year
Jazz Artist of the Year

Waynesboro, Pa, January 7, 2008, the leading organization supporting Independent artists in Christian music, is pleased to announce that Kerensa Gray has been nominated in the Female Vocalist of the Year and Jazz Artist of the Year Categories in the 3rd annual "Momentum Awards". This prestigious award will be handed out at the upcoming IndieHeaven CIA Summit2008 conference March 29, 2008.

IndieHeaven founder and CIA Summit director Keith Mohr states, "It's important to recognize and applaud the efforts made in recent years by artists who are independent. By providing them the recognition they have earned, we hope to increase their platform and awareness. There are many independent artists who are doing an incredible job with their music and most importantly their mission. We look forward to the awards being a part of our annual artist's conference." Visit for more information about the Christian Independent Alliance Summit.

"The music and writing style of Indieheaven artist Kerensa Gray is like nothing you've heard in the Christian arena. If you like the thought of the bar room piano and deep jazzy vocals, minus the alcohol and negative lyrics then this is what you've been waiting for! This is Christian music that gets down and dirty, music that bares the soul and speaks of life in all stages. Kerensa's mission is simple - to inspire others to explore the mystery and wonder of the love of Jesus. To know Him more.
Kerensa lives in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania with her husband Lee. Traveling regularly throughout the eastern United States, Kerensa has also had the privilege of ministering in Zurich, Switzerland as well as working in management and vocal production."

Prayer Warriors Needed Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

I know that I have some amazing fans out there and I am grateful to those who daily lift me up in prayer. It is the cornerstone of any ministry to have prayer as the foundation. Therefore, I am looking for seven prayer warriors to join with me in support of the ministry. These seven will be those "in the know" as it were; my support system made up of God chosen friends. Please pray about this opportunity to partner with me. Know that I will rely on you - and hopefully you on me - for those everyday needs that we each struggle through. Email me at if you feel led to join me in this journey.

May He continue to bless you and shine His face upon you. And keep those prayer requests coming! I love to hear from you!

Things are happening! Subscribe To My News (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Fall is almost upon us and I am revving up for the busiest September I've had in years! I am so excited and God is moving in such wonderful and awe inspiring ways. I won't share what He has revealed to me yet, but I am on the edge of my seat and working like mad to make sure that I am ready when the rollocoaster starts it's steep decline to the next height of madness. I will share though that He has me focusing on:

Heb. 11:1 "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen".

How much more exciting can it get? He has shared with me that Faith boils down to knowing Him, Hope is living in expectancy, and evidence is proof. Therefore, knowing Christ, I can expect to see physical manifestations of that which He has spoken to me and promised in His word. WOW!!! What a great God we serve! I can't wait to see how HE is going to work out HIS promises in my life. Stay tuned. More is on the way!

Heirborn Promise (Brett and Darlene Scott)
Aretha Grant

Today I gave the final "thumbs up" on the final song for the cd project. God is good. Although this has taken much longer than initially anticipated we are excited to see the completion! CD release party is right around the corner so keep checking in!

I (Kerensa) have been hearing a distinct call to "step out" recently and have been waiting for confirmation in this area. The preceeding week, Lea heard from the Lord that she is to "be still" with Him for a season. As always, He speaks to us in concert to confirm His will for our ministry and we are excited to see the plans that he is laying out for us. I will be continuing to minister as a solo artist. The heart of the ministry will not change. It is still our passion to let His people know that they are loved and chosen by Him; and our deep desire that this ministry continue to work with the Holy Spirit to bring people closer to the heart of God.

We covet your prayers that we may be sensitive to His voice at this time of change and that He would open the windows of heaven for His ministry to flourish.

Be assured that the cd is still on it's way as promised and we will have one last hurrah to debut the project. We want to thank each one of our fans for your continued support and love. We love you all.

We are busy laying down vocals now and are having a wonderful time working with Jeff! Things are coming together nicely and the Lord has definately been with us 'in the making'. Please continue to keep us in your prayers for traveling mercies and for His will to shine through this project. Our wish is that each song would be a seed that would be planted in the hearts of those who are seeking Him, comfort for the hurting, and hope to the hopeless.

New Soul'd tracks are almost done (we have some awesome talent on our side in Mr. Jeff Duffield!!) and although we are working a bit slower than my impatience likes, we are trusting in His timing! We are hyped to lay down the vocals soon and mangaged to score one of my all time fav. sax players for one of our jazz numbers...Mr. Eddie Hershman...please continue to pray for us as we journey through this process and we'll keep you updated. And don't forget to include us in your summer schedule!

Happy New Year to everyone! We are excited to be working on our debut album right now and look for it to be available March 2007...what a great start to the new year! ...and by the way -- This place rocks!
