John Barron's music and podcast production on hold Subscribe To My Blog (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Dear friends and fans,

As some of you are aware, i have been ill for many years, yet still able to compose and perform music. Unfortunately, in the last year and a half, my health has worsened, and damage to my hands and shoulders has prevented me from playing guitar. I am barely able to walk now as well. My prayer is to become well enough again to compose and even perform publicly, if the Lord provides. I will continue to share my music and hope it, and the podcasts I host will inspire you on to greater faith, hope, joy and love. Please remember, "Love more!." With love always, John Barron

"Hello friends, Just a note to say hello, and thank you for your support. Both my wife Johanne and I have been ill lately, so the new music has been on hold, but God providing, there are new songs in the wings. I am able to play with the Crosslink Community church worship team in Mebane, NC., often, and it's a blessing to make music to honor God and worship with those seeking His presence. I'd love to hear from you! Please visit my Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/john.barron.142"

Thanking God once again to be back home in NC. after a lovely trip to Florida to see my brother and family. Time to settle here awhile. So much to do.

For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Luke 2:8-14

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

"Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."

Have a blessed Christmas and new year. Love, John and Johanne Barron

A Prayer Need From John "Bannerman" Barron Subscribe To My Blog (RSS)(Click this icon to Subscribe)

Dear indieheaven community,

Please add this CD "The Greatest Commandment," and its ministry, to your prayer list before the Lord. There has been a remarkably favorable response for the work, both in sales and in personal testimonies. I am blessed beyond words. Nevertheless, because of my crippling arthritis, I am unable to play guitar right now. "Promotion" of this message of God's love is a great challenge physically as well. Please pray that I will hear clearly what God desires for me to do, and that indeed, he will bring forth the laborers to help share this labor of love.

"It's all about love
God's love for us, despite our fall.
It's all about love,
That He gave His only Son,
For us all."

(Opening stanza from,"The Greatest Commandment."

Thank you. I was led to reach out to you today during prayer. May the Lord bless you richly.
In Jesus' love, John Barron

A word about God’s love from John “Bannerman” Barron

God is calling us, above all, to love Him and to love one another. He also desires that we love MORE…as we are empowered by His Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ, thanks to God’s merciful grace.

This seems a formidable task in light of today’s headlines of war, hatred and corruption. Jesus reminds however, that what is impossible with man, is possible for God! Luke 18:27

As I began writing and composing my latest CD, God clearly moved my heart to share His greatest commandment, and to, both in my personal life, and as I encouraged others to do likewise, “Love even more.” I take this challenge personally, as I pray you do as well.

Here are some scriptures which underscore God’s greatest commandment to love:

He (Jesus) answered: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘…Love your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27, also, Matt. 22:37, and Mark, 12:20.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 PETER 4:8,
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” JOHN 13:34,35.

How can we do this? Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Proverbs 3:5,6

and completely rely on God’s Spirit to guide and empower you.

Love MORE!!!

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

Praying for God’s love to be more evident and powerful in your life than ever before. God is love!

In Christ’s love, John “Bannerman” Barron

‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. Zech: 4:6

Dear Fans and Supporters,

Much has happened over the last few months. Most of the songs are nearly ready for final mastering, and two are still being worked on. Despite two health setbacks, painful, but short in duration, I have been able to stay on course to meet the prayerful deadline. I am deeply thankful to God for giving me the passion and still the ability to write and perform this album of rather eclectic musical compositions. All the praise and glory is His.

Llana Barron, our singer/song writer, musician daughter, is contributing her talent and heart to several of the songs, and it has been a heartwarming blessing for me. You may listen to a free preview of one of our duets on "the Greatest Commandment," called, "Mine and Ours, on my website at indieheaven.com. The link is below:

This week had two sessions at Dark Pines studio and Max the Engineer, the new intern Ben and I mixed several tunes down. Yesterday I sang in this studio for the first time and was very happy with the results. These folks know what they're doing and gave helpful advice as well. We have several more sessions booked this month and hope to release at least two of the songs for sale by the middle of July! More soon. God bless y'all, John "Bannerman" Barron
