Mission Statement

We are an emerging South Florida guy/girl duo who loves music and Jesus. Our goal is to inspire the world with the music we make.

"Who knew our sound would be so, how should we put this? Schizophrenic" says the emerging South Florida guy/girl duo Minor Prophets when asked to describe their music.

Bahamas native Robert Gibson (BobbyG) and US Virgin Island born Kareema Estrada (LadyK) met during their tenure in college at The Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale. After stumbling upon their mutual love for music, they formed the group Minor Prophets with three original members back in 2005. In 2008 they separated from the band's third member due to creative differences and made a tough decision to move forward as a duo.

Three years later in 2011, they released their first single and music video "Don't Lust", a pop/dance record from their first studio project Right of Entry, the EP, which was later released in 2012 as a free download on their website.

After the release of their first single, they appeared on 88.3 LaNueva and Radiant FM after their single sparked the interest of South Florida's radio personality JBlaze. Minor Prophets also appeared on NEWD internet Radio and were featured in NEWD online Magazine.

"The track "Don't Lust", with its hard-hitting snares and electronic pulses, moves with an eerie urgency. Almost "Disturbia"-like, listeners are hipped to a new trend that Minor Prophets lets loose in a cool, collected, yet pressing style."

- Tiffany Knowles, NEWD Magazine

In 2013, they released an Urban re-make to Motown Records 1966 hit "Hanging On" by The Supremes featuring well-known south FL Christian Rapper and DJ, Mr. E. The single was featured on popular Christian rap blog site, DaSouth.com.

""Hanging On" is rap delivered in electro-pop form, offering something for fans of several genres. The familiarity of the Supremes hit certainly helps in its likeability, but credit must go to Minor Prophets for putting a present-day spin on a timeless classic."

- Jason Randall Smith, ARIEL PUBLICITY

Inspired by their strong Christian faith, Minor Prophets is back at it again with the release of their new single "I Cry" recorded at Vanquish studio in Davie, FL. With a more Pop and Contemporary Christian sound this time around, Minor Prophets paints a lyrical picture of desperation, something we all can relate to.
