Mission Statement

I give voice to our innermost thoughts and feelings through melody and lyric in order to help us walk in freedom.

My ministry verse is taken from psalm 9:9 "The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a tower of strength in time of need'.

I believe each song has the potential of ministering to someone in a very specific way - whether through laughter, tears or lyrics that make someone stop and think - God uses music as a way to provide a place of refuge for people from the things we experience in life.

Bio

"Frances Drost is a gifted servant of the King!" says Carol Kent, President of Speak Up Speaker Services. "She is an extraordinary worship leader and her passionate heart for God, combined with musical excellence that includes superior vocals and fine-tuned keyboard skills, will lead you into the very presence of God. I highly recommend her as a speaker, a worship leader, and as a concert artist."

Carol Kent is not alone in her praises of Frances. Eric Copeland, President of Nashville's Creative Soul Records, comments "Not often does a songwriter come to me with the depth of lyric, stark emotion, and just plain strong melodic sense that Frances Drost brings with her songs." And the Christian Music Industry is recognizing the unique gifting that God has placed on her ministry as well.

At the 2009 Momentum Award Ceremony in Nashville, Frances was a nominee for "Inspirational Artist of the Year" and was the winner of the 2009 Momentum Award for "Female Artist of the Year." The awards are the premier recognition program for Christian Independent Artists in America, sponsored by IndieHeaven.

Frances Drost is a concert artist and inspirational speaker who began her own company, "Musical Creations" as a way to encourage people on their journey through life. She skillfully combines music, teaching, and speaking to present a unique, professionally designed program. As both a singer and songwriter, Frances has a unique way of presenting real-life experiences and meaningful messages that are subtly woven throughout her music. In fact, it has been said, "Be careful about inviting Frances to your home; she may write a song about you."

As a speaker, Frances is genuine, vulnerable, and downright entertaining. Her love for people with all their flaws and faults is unmistakable and her ability to captivate an audience is inspiring. Candy Davison from Sandy Cove Ministries in Maryland writes, "I sensed a heightened degree of attentiveness during your message from the ladies compared to the norm. You could hear a pin drop while you were speaking!"

Frances is creative and committed to serving those who entrust her with time and influence. She can tailor her programs to suit your needs - from a full blown major concert to a small group of ladies gathered for tea. She is able to develop topics and themes at your request and is able to weave music into any topic that is just another of her unique abilities.

Frances served as a Director of Worship for over 9 years at 2 different churches in the Brethren In Christ Denomination and has grown as a Christian, a leader and a musician from those years of ministry with other believers. She has been performing concerts and leading worship at other events for over 15 years and came to a place of realization that it was time to become fully focused on writing and performing music wherever she can.

Frances is currently writing songs for an organization called Songs of Love, a non-profit foundation that connects terminally ill children and teens with songwriters who then compose a song especially for that child and their family. Filled with encouragement and positive words, these songs help to carry kids through really tough times of illness.

As a singer/songwriter, Frances has a unique way of presenting real-life experiences. The message is easy to receive, as she presents the music and the stories behind the songs. In fact, it has been said, "Be careful about inviting Frances to your home; she may write a song about you."

Frances sees each song as a potential tower of strength for those needing encouraged, a place of refuge and safety for those who are hurting, and a joyous proclamation for those who are walking victoriously. Her songs will make you laugh and make you cry. Frances can tailor her programs to suit your needs - from a full blown major concert to a small group of ladies gathered for tea.
