Bio

Born and raised in Texas, Anne Rowland has been playing guitar, singing and songwriting since her teens. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Forestry, and later became a partner in 2 restaurant franchises. She is currently a partner of Jason's Deli of Colorado. Anne often jokes that she "makes sandwiches to support her music habit". She has directed children and youth choirs, contemporary worship bands, led music at a number of spiritual retreats as well as a number of special music projects for her home church, Hope United Methodist, in Greenwood Village. Anne shared her love of music with her children and involved them in contemporary worship as part of her musical group "Promise" for 5 years. Her son Chris played drums; her daughter sang backup.

With the help of her musical friends, Anne recorded her first CD, "Bread & Wine" at a home studio in Greeley, Colorado. By sharing it with her family and many church friends, she sold out of this CD's first run (1200 copies) and will re-release it in March 2010. With the proceeds of "Bread & Wine", Anne bought recording equipment, which she used to record her second CD, "A Matter of Faith". Her son, Chris, played drums on this project; her daughter, Dani, sang backup and even wrote one of the songs for the CD. All the musicians on "Matter of Faith" are amateur friends who play and sing with her regularly. This second CD has already sold over 700 copies.

Anne composes Contemporary Christian music in a variety of music styles including rock, jazz and C&W. She is a Certified ProTools recording engineer and uses a ProTools TDM HD1 system. Today she lives in Centennial, Colorado and leads contemporary worship music at several Denver area churches. She and her entire band will be heading to Germany for a tour there in May 2010.
