Bio

Steve Parsons is a Singer / Songwriter and Preacher. Every year he travels throughout the UK and overseas, sharing his songs, speaking in Churches and reaching out to people.

In 1992 he recorded a demo tape of his frst songs in a friends bedroom on a 4 track cassette recorder. Invitations to sing at local churches and youth groups led to Steve quitting his secular employment in 1993 and launching into the world of music and ministry. Since then Steve has performed his songs in venues ranging from coffee houses through to the 12,000 seat London Arena and has spoken to thousands of people in Churches, Colleges, Youth Events and Prisons.

With a percussive guitar playing style and soulful voice, Steve connects with his audience in a personable down-to-earth manner, blending songs, stories and humour into a compelling form of communication.

Steve's first album release (Simple Faith) came in 1996 and this was followed by further albums in the ensuing years: The Colour of Life (2000), Standing (2002), Certain Possibilities (2004) and a live-in-concert album called Ten. (2006).

Steve's music can be heard on Christian Radio Stations around the world and in 2006 Steve did a live 1 hour concert which was broadcast on Revelation TV. In addition to his UK schedule, he has toured in France, Spain, Malta, Australia, USA and Africa.

In 2008, Steve turned once again to long time friend and collaborator Dan Wheeler to work with him on a new album, this time asking him to take a much stronger production role. The two got their heads together at Dan's home and started working on the songs. "I would pull some demo's together at my home studio, take them to Dan and from there he would start telling me what he liked and didn't like and what he thought would work. We threw ideas back and forth. It was really a collabrative efffort", says Steve.

The resulting record, Beautiful Broken World is being released in July 2010 and features contributions from a host of talented musicians and singers, including Cathy Burton, Nicki Rogers and Jimmie Bratcher. It was mixed by Grammy Award winning engineer/producer Julian Kindred.

Steve is married to Danae and they have two children, Chloe and Benjamin. They make their home in Cheshire where Steve serves as an Associate Pastor at Christian Life Church, Bollington.
